The Power of Making A Difference

I believe there is nothing so deeply satisfying as being committed to making a difference to others. I find that when I commit to making a difference to the leaders, management teams and employees of the businesses I work with, I embrace a much bigger internal conversation and take a committed “stand” that moves me to show up in a bigger way than I ever have before.
As a result, I’m willing to say what needs to be said, even when it might be uncomfortable for me, and to call leaders out in a respectful but direct way on habits and behaviors that hold them back.
I do this even at the risk of their discomfort because I am committed to making a difference and supporting them in achieving real breakthrough results.
By doing this, I’m able to bring about new perspectives and insights that support them in taking new actions that lead directly to breakthroughs in sales, revenue, leadership and performance.
Your Action Step
As a purpose-driven leader, I want to invite you to start each day by reminding yourself of your commitment to making a difference to others, whether they are employees, customers, vendors or the people in your family.
And here is the big part: Make decisions from your commitment, or “stand.”
By a “stand,” I mean a commitment to making a difference that guides how you show up, the decisions you make, and the actions you're willing to take, even when it's uncomfortable.
It's about being committed to something bigger than your own comfort and allowing that commitment to influence how you lead.
Try this out for yourself and see if you don't feel more inspired, motivated and passionate about being a leader. Notice how your commitment to others might cause you to show up in a more powerful and impactful way than you have in the past.
